About us

The Electrum Laboratory

The Electrum Laboratory is a KTH research infrastructure located in Kista. The 1300 square meter cleanroom and about 1500 square meter external laboratories are owned and operated by KTH Royal Institute of Technology – the leading technical university of Sweden. The Electrum Laboratory is a unique environment for education, basic research, applied research, and to serve as a startup hub for companies to investigate and develop their product ideas.

The Electrum Laboratory is certified according to the international ISO 9001:2015 Quality Standard. The Electrum Laboratory is, as a part of KTH Royal Institute of Technology, certified according to the international ISO 14001:2015 Environmental Standard.

 

Part of the Myfab infrastructure

The Electrum Laboratory  and the Albanova Nanolab constitutes the KTH node of Myfab. Myfab is a Swedish national research infrastructure, and plays a key role by providing state-of-the-art cleanroom facilities and expertise for developing micro- and nanotechnologies. The other nodes of Myfab are the Ångström Microstructure Laboratory at Uppsala University, the MC2 Nanofabrication Laboratory at Chalmers and the NanoLund Laboratory at Lund University.
The Myfab network is open to users from all Swedish universities on equal terms to share access to processes, characterization techniques and world class research and development competence. Myfab's research partnership promotes fundamental understanding of new technologies and opens up interdisciplinary research.
